The Isaan Culture Club sought to promote its upcoming Bombay-inspired Cabaret Night, an event that blends South Asian cultural expression with the theatrical energy of cabaret. My task was to create an advertising campaign that not only announced the event but also captured its distinctive and exciting spirit, to draw in a diverse audience.
To capture the unique blend of South Asian vibrancy and cabaret allure, I developed a visually rich advertising campaign drawing inspiration from the bold aesthetics of vintage Bollywood movie posters and the theatrical elegance of 1920s cabaret posters. This involved a dynamic use of colour and composition, featuring some of the performers to convey the energy of the Bombay Cabaret Night. The campaign included engaging social media videos.
Initially the Posts were a call for creative talent but was later adapted into event promotion. Striking posters and leaflets were also produced based on the iconography. These elements worked together to effectively tease the event, giving the audiences a taste of the cultural fusion they would experience.
